views 902The Colombo Jazz Festival is set to take place on the 18th and 19th of February 2017 at the renowned Galle Face Hotel. As the official location partner of the Festival, the Galle Face Hotel will be hosting a plethora of culinary delights for Festival goers to enjoy.
Executive Chef Adam Gaunt-Evans together with his team has prepared a gourmet menu of a variety of cuisines aimed at providing festival goers quality food made to compliment every aspect of the Festival.
“We want to focus on quality over quantity” says Chef Evans, “This year we are offering a wide range starting from appetizers to mains so there is something for everyone!”
The highlight of the gourmet menu is the Gourmet Hamper priced at LKR 8000 nett. The hamper is the perfect fit for an all-round experience of the Jazz Festival. The Gourmet Hamper is the perfect complement to the Festival goers looking forward to sitting on the lawn and listening to some great music.
The Gourmet Hamper serves a group of four and contains a bottle of wine, vegetable crudités with dips, roasted cashew nuts, roasted vegetable focaccia, smoked salmon with lime and capers, assorted sushi rolls with condiments, feta, olive and watermelon salad, ham and cheese croissant, leek and mushroom quiche with truffle oil and an assortment of French pastries.
Moreover, Galle Face Hotel will also present various action stations serving a variety of dishes of epic culinary feasts to tantalize the attendees’ tastebuds!
One such action station is the Surf and Turf Barbeque operating from 6-10pm. Surf and Turf will be serving an assortment of seafood including tuna steak, prawns, seafood kebab, lamb chops, chicken kebab and paneer and vegetable kebab which will be served with a selection of carbs such as biriyani, vegetable slaw and homemade sauces.
In addition, they would also serve up succulent beef burgers made with local beef, jumbo hot dogs and vegetable biryani rice.
The Gourmet Deli Stand which would be operating all day during the Festival will serve a variety of dishes including rock oysters, cold cut platters, cheese platters, artisan platters, anti-pasti and many more. The Deli is the perfect spot to grab a quick bite or something to munch on for a few hours.

Tickets for the Festival are priced at 5000 LKR for a day pass for either day and 8000 LKR for the weekend pass which includes entry for both days, children (under 12) are half price and toddlers are free. Tickets will be available from Sugar Bistro and Wine Bar at Crescat and Odel, 41 Sugar, PR, Galle Face Hotel and can be purchased online through the website.
