We were jammin' till the break of dawn!

“Would you like to go for an evening of reggae on the beach?”

“Yes”

“Oh, by the way the concert is by The Wailers”

No that is not how this article came about, it was more a case of “BOSS, CAN I PLEASE COVER THE WAILERS CONCERT?”

The legendary “Wailers” better known as “Bob Marley and The Wailers” brought so much life in to what would have been a boring Tuesday evening.

Kicking off the shore was one man band Adam Baluch who simply was a treat to watch, the precision when he managed playing three instruments was more than a wow factor after playing a number of originals and getting the crowd pumped up for The Wailers, Adam left the stage despite chants for more from the 3000 strong crowd.

The “Legend” album is the number 1 bestselling reggae album of all time. “The Legend Tour 2014” was in celebration of 70 years of Bob Marley’s life and 30 years of the Legend album. Fans were treated to every single song off the album which included immortal hits such as “Buffalo Soldier”, "Jammin", “No Woman, No Cry”, “Stir It Up” and many other notable hits.

The band led by legendary bass player Aston "Family Man" Barret was simply phenomenal from the starting track “Is This Love?” credit must be given to Dwayne "Danglin" Anglin who on lead vocals certainly did justice to the king of reggae and would have made him proud. The two and a half hour show was certainly more than money’s worth because ticket prices were insanely cheap.

The evening ended with a prolonged version of “Exodus” and I’m amazed at how everyone on stage had the energy to be giving their 200% into every note sung and played.

All in all it was a brilliant evening and everyone at Paradise Beach, Mount Lavinia Hotel, bore testimony to the fact that the legend still lives on and will continue to do so!
