Hilton Colombo came alive with festivity in honour of Vesak – a celebration of Lord Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and attainment of Nirvana. With over 300 white lanterns and a host of lights illuminating the hotel, Hilton Colombo’s tasteful exterior was transformed into an exquisite display of Buddhist culture.
An ideal showcase of Sri Lankan tradition, guests and visitors at the Hilton Colombo were mesmerized by the eliminations and enjoyed the unique celebration. In addition, the hotel held an internal competition where departments took part in making Vesak lanterns. Battling it out were the teams from the sports centre, stewarding, engineering, kitchen, gardening and security departments.
