The Style Files : The Best Dressed List - November 2015
Every month we do a roundup of events that played host to some of the most sartorially savvy, polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers. In November these people impressed with their style, their poise, their ability to pull a unique look together and were the most soigne of the soigne for the month.
The Bulgari Launch
Adam
Adam has the kind of style (and model body!) that makes dressing seem effortless, he’s a constant beacon of inspiration and style and truly defines the modern gentleman. He has an underlying charm that’s visible in his style and without too much effort.
Jacqueline
Jacqueline knows, as what most fashionable women do, that accessories always elevate a look. The focal point of her outfit is her jewellery, her fabulous Bulgari Serpenti bracelet and watch pair so beautifully with the simplicity of the rest of her outfit.
The German Embassy Event
Sharmini
I love this sari and its homage to Mondrian. He believed in avoiding references to the real world, using only the primary colors (red, blue, and yellow), the primary values (black, white, and grey), and the primary directions (horizontal and vertical). This is intellectual style at its best.
Sidath
He’s a true gentleman whose sartorial savvy is too often unsung. He could be wearing a suit or a pair of trousers but he always looks appropriate for the occasion.
Rashmi
Between Rashmi's striking beauty, the hints of red, the slicked back do, the nipped in waist and that gorgeous, flowing batiked fabric, this look is a total home run.
SLDF Launch
Malin
Yes to everything going on here. It's not often that a dress can be sweet and sexy at once. I love how Malin ensured that this was not just another little black dress by opting for a style mixed with an interesting overlay that shows a little leg, while the high neckline and great shoes make it very ladylike.
Sandun
He’s handsome, charismatic and has an undefinable aura of cool. He wears suits in a way that makes you think ‘that’s how tailoring should be’. Kudos Sands!
Chamika
This is a really great shape and the asymmetrical hem and draped front add just the right amount of visual interest. I like that Chamika has kept the rest of her look simple allowing her hair to really shine.
People, puddles, paradise
This is such a great look and if you have the style chops ( and age on your side) to pull it off you should! Her sneakers take this monochromatic ensemble to a whole other level. It’s fun, feminine, youthful and just screams cool.
Vessel at Barefoot
Layla
It was her night to shine and she really did. She picked the right hue, the right style and looked as fabulous as one of her works of art.
