The Style Files : The Best Dressed List - June 

Every month we do a roundup of events that played host to some of the most sartorially savvy, polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers. In June these people impressed with their style, their poise, their ability to pull a unique look together and were the most soigne of the soigne for the month.

Sanath

His personal style always stands out in a crowd but is also timeless. Sanath is always immaculately dressed in contemporary-classic tailoring and this look is no exception.

Rashmi, Sahithra and Sanath

Rashmi

It feels as though cut-outs have been trendy forever and we have seen them in every single iteration. But here, Rashmi shows off a fresh take. Her sari jacket is sexy, without being overtly so, and also extremely flattering. As there's a lot going on with the print and neckline we love how Rashmi has kept her hair, makeup and accessories minimal allowing her outfit to shine.

Sahithra

We love how Sahithra opted for a navy gown. The simple aesthetic of her dress in this rich hue is on trend elegant and she looks sleek and put together. Minimal make-up and accessories tick another on point box. A great choice for a very special evening.

Anusha

A floor length black dress is to a formal cocktail what Little White Dress is to summer. The perfect choice, though it can easily look boring. But not this one. The neckline and cinched in waist are playfully elegant  and sexy. We also love Anusha's Alexander McQueen clutch.

Shiromal

This is a truly beautiful sari and Shiromal looks gorgeous in it. Dark florals are so on trend for AW 15 and we love how they are wild and slightly menacing on this sari. The spaghetti strap blouse and fabulous jewels elevate this from edgy fashion forward to fashion knockout! A+.

Rosy

It’s impossible to take a bad picture of Rosy, she always looks fabulous. The vibrant colours on her sari and jacket work beautifully together especially as they are not embellished. Rosy gives us a masterclass in colour blocking.

Rishini

Rishini is the picture of chic in this ensemble. Her outfit is a beautiful shape on her and the texture on the bodice and hemline adds visual interest. We also love hr YSL clutch which adds a modern edge to a traditional look.

Goeffrey Bawa Memorial Lecture 

This look doesn't try hard to be cool  it just is. The almost jewel toned hue of his blazer paired with relaxed jeans and a crisp white shirt, interestingly insouciant!

Silk Revitalised 

Desiree

Edgy, fashion forward and cool  are just a few words to describe Desiree’s look. We love the hint of toned midriff and her statement necklace, the interesting details that make this look best dressed material.

Zoe

She looks simple and chic in a monochromatic outfit. Subscribing to the less is more aesthetic, the pared down modernity of her outfit allows her fabulous hair and great make up to really shine.
