This week we have Suraaj de Silva who is quite the interesting character despite the capability to act completely silly this young man has been a part of many interesting activities and also is quite involved with music.
Your favorite clothing?
Where do I start? I'm very fond of Shirts and Jackets and Shirts that work as Jackets. I'm especially fond of my hats! Hats are cool. Not that fedora stuff. Proper Cowboy...sometimes.
Business meeting on a weekday what would you wear?
Dark Jeans, shirt and possibly a tie.
Business meeting on a Sunday evening what would you wear?
Dark Jeans and t-shirt with a shirt over. Maybe. We have business meetings on Weekends???
How fashion conscious are you?
Not very, I just try to go with what works on me, really.
How long do you take to pick clothes and dress up for a night out?
That's down to whether I've decided beforehand. There are days I get so caught up riding great white sharks that I completely forget until the last minute and there I am, in front of the cupboard, swearing for about 5 minutes and trying stuff on for another 10 before going, "Screw it!" and reaching out at random for an item of clothing and praying that fortune favours me
What type of blue jeans do you wear, and how should they fit?
Dark, not black. Well fitted not tight and Bootcut. Bootcuts forever!
What color should socks be?
Black, white or really funny. I always vote for really funny!
The whackiest outfit you have worn?
A tee-shirt with a black garbage bag on top. While painting. As a joke. It was hilarious, I swear!
Something you see really really wrong with fashion in Colombo?
I call it the Ctrl+V Phenomenon. More often than not I'd see hordes, armies even, of people wearing the same clothes. Everywhere. Its like no one decides to break out and go, "You know what? That's a weird thing to wear, it might be cool, I'm going to try it out!"...No one! Its like we try so hard to look cool that we forget have fun and express our individual unique natures. But you know what they say, When weird becomes the norm, normal becomes weird. I can't complain too much!
