Designers have always adopted the black and white stripes on clothing and throughout time it has evolved to accommodate the liking of many. Marc Jacob’s runway show last year was one of the most talked about when it came to the black and white stripes, as it has made way for the graphic looks of the '60s.

Parallel lines of black and white raced across many garments where the top of a hip-hugging low slung skirt under a striped blazer cut short enough to expose the midriff, whilst particular skirts hung to the hips in a way that was so essentially Jacobs. The infamous Beetlejuice stripes ran packed in varying assortments through skirt-suits. And in one garment the patterns of black and white intersecting lines became so minuscule and deeply compacted on a printed overcoat and matching cropped shorts that from afar, the model looked composed of TV static.

Moschino presented a 1960s romp by showcasing classic images of the model Jean Shrimpton as photographed by David Bailey and Audrey Hepburn in the 1967 film Two For The Road since in the film Hepburn wore similar striped outfits and boot-cut flared trousers.

When wearing this black and white trend must be mindful to have it in small doses since instead of going head-to-toe black and white graphic, choose a top and pair it with a solid black skirt and when it comes to accessories choose a graphic bangle bracelet or black and white shoe for a great look.

When going vertical, must use the vertical stripes for the most flattering look by wearing the stripes on your smallest body part. Especially If you are bottom heavy, must avoid putting black and white stripes or graphics on your bottom half. So keeping that in mind anyone can try out this trend and it is quite obvious that everyone has since of the attractive look these stripes bring.

Black and white stripes have always been considered a recurring trend for years, and it can be mentioned confidently that it is here to stay!
