L'Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2012, in association with Rasvihar, honoured 19 extraordinary Indian women and one exceptional 'Man we Love' - the finest talents in their areas of expertise ranging from art, music, education, business, social activism, cinema amongst others. 

 

Hosted by Diana Hayden and Ash Chandler, the evening brimmed with laughter while the audience were entertained by spectacular performances by singers Sona Mohapatra, Usha Uthup and singer-dancer Shiamak Davar and troupe. 

 

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gave away a special award - 'Because You Are Worth It' according to her, to her mother Vrinda Rai. Priyanka Chopra was honoured with 'Woman We Love' reader's choice award at the event. 

 

Other exceptional women felicitated at the event were Masaba Gupta (Design), Namrata Soni (Beauty Specialist), Ritu Kumar (Achievement) and Lara Dutta (Face of a cause). Ranbir Kapoor's award was received by Imtiaz Ali on his behalf. 

 

The star-studded occasion saw many other winners including Sona Mohapatra (Music and Performing Arts), Poorna Jagannathan (Breakthrough Performance), Kahini Arte Merchant (Art), Dipika Pallikal (Sports), Dr. Firuza Parikh (Science and Innovation), Ekta Kapoor (Business and Entrepreneurship), Kalpana Swaminath (Literary Contribution), Neelam Chhiber (Social Impact), Alka Shesha (Education), Mansi Poddar/Kanika Parab (Online Influencer), Kangana Ranaut (Style) among others. 

 

Mandira Bedi, Gauahar Khan, Shruti Sheth, Queenie Singh, Dipannita Sharma and Maria Goretti looked gorgeous as they posed for the shutterbugs.
