There was an exhilarated focus on the 60s last year, which makes us predict a glimpse of a retro perspective coming from the fashion industry for 2013. There were five main designs that were displayed at the New York, Milan and London Fashion Weeks that have got everyone talking and which will be brought into notice with detail throughout the week.
‘Flower power’ was one of the main attractions seen on the runway with designers incorporating unique designs of flowers into garments creating either that casual or sophisticated look. Different types of flowers were displayed on A-line and well-tailored dresses, which were quite impressionable. One of the most unique was Prada integrating the 60s with origami and thereby bringing in the Asian influence.
The black-and-white stripes made a bold appearance during the Fashion Weeks, with either horizontal, vertical or diagonal designs making it definitely a head turner and keeping in mind the uniqueness of the designs and the stories from which the designs were incorporated as clearly seen on the runway of Moschino.
Gucci made the ruffles make a big come back, but the bell sleeve was one of the highlighted retro looks which were quite attractive especially due to the eye catching hues used by designers of the fashion house Gucci which would be considered a favorite by many this year.
Mix match of geometric prints was quite frequent in the 60s and surprising enough the presents designers have been able to give it a modern touch with well tailored suits and even with accessories which is predicted to be frequently worn by the fashionistas.
Last but not least one of the most imminent 60s design being the A-line mini dress made a break through to this year as well making it one of those dress designs that no designer would want to say farewell to.
With those 60s designs being revived it would serve no justice unless those designs are discussed in great detail later on.
