Everybody came prepared to have a good time and they did.

It was house full at the Oak Room of the “Cinnamon Grand Hotel” on Friday, 19th October 2012 when Koluu staged “Let’s Hear it for the Boys” in aid of charity (The Sunera Foundation).

It was burlesque at its best with the audience picking up the cue.

Pink and Silver were the chosen theme and the souvenir also captured these colours.

The show began with “In the Navy” sung by Koluu, Anusham and many men.

Next came a dance item from Bollywood.  Lou Ching Wong and the girls gave a fine performance in the bridal item “Wishing and Hoping”.

Unfortunately,  Koluu did not speak into the mike during his stage interview and the audience missed out on the jokes.  But the audience picked up on the spirit of fun and everyone grinned as the show came to an end.

“I enjoyed every moment of it.  It went off with a bang.  The audience loved it and thank you to all the cast and crew from me and it was for a worthy cause,” commented Koluu, giving a post-mortem on the show.

“As always, it was a full house.  It was a great audience.  It was for a good cause and it was a lot of fun for those who were on stage.  It’s the only show where you can let go and have a lot of fun," remarked Danu, adding, “The costumes were great thanks to Lou Ching Wong.  Mariza did a great job with the event. Koluu as always brings a lot of life and makes it all possible. Leo Burnett gives the right solution for all the boys.”

Birthday Boy Ronnie Leitch observed, “It was a grand show.  Today is my birthday but I sacrificed it for the show.  I was very happy to perform in the show.”

Minoli de Soysa remarked “It was a very entertaining show but some of the dancing could have been better.  The costumes and lights were good.  Generally, it was a fun evening.”

Fashion designer Kirthi Sri Karunaratne echoed the sentiment when he said that “It was an evening full of fun.”

Hermione Goonetilake commented “It was a fabulous, fantastic show.  I enjoyed every minute of it.”

Dulee Gunaratne was one of the dancers and she works at Capella Salons.  “I am very happy.  It was my dream to perform in this show and it came true," she said.
