Prasanna Vithanage’s latest Sinhala-Tamil bilingual feature film ‘Oba Nethuwa Oba Ekka’ (With You, Without You) which earned the best actress award for its lead actress Anjali Patil at the 43rd IFFI last year, will hold its French premiere at the Vesoul International Film Festival from February 5 to 12.
The film will also be screened at the Dublin Film Festival in Ireland from February 15 to 22 – going down records as the first Sri Lankan film to have an Irish premiere and also the first to be featured at the Dublin Film Festival.
Oba Nethuwa Oba Ekka (With You, Without You) is a bilingual (Sinhala and Tamil) film featuring Shyam Fernando, Anjali Patil, Wasantha Moragoda and Maheshwari Rathnam.
M.D. Mahindapala (Cinematographer), A. Sreekar Prasad (Editor), Lakshman Josephn De Saram (Music Composer), Tapas Nayak (Sound Designer) and Rob Nevis (Production Designer) have contributed to “Oba Nethuwa Oba Ekka”. Daminda D. Madawala is the assistant director while Ebert Wijesinghe handled the make-up. Kalpana Ariyawansa and Vindana Ariyawansa contributed as Line Producers.
A co-production between India and Sri Lanka, Lasantha Nawarathna and Mohamed Adamaly produced the movie. Rahul Roy, Iranthi Abeysinghe, Sunil Fonseka and Nadira Adamaly joined as the executive producers.
