Why are you taking part?

I think this is a good experience for me. I am doing this because I want to explore my talents and personality.

What do you feel about the competition?

I like it! All the girls are very good, friendly, talented and beautiful.

What is your talent?

Baratha Natyam. I learnt it as a child and in school. I know I can dance, and I love to do it because I can really feel it when I dance.

Dishna

Why are you taking part?

I have been interested in this field since I was a kid. I hope this kind of experience can help my confidence and intelligence.

What do you feel about the competition?

We have learned many new things, it’s amazing. The other girls are very friendly, we are like a family now!

What is your talent?

I performed a Bollywood dance. I’m very interested in that style, I really like it. You have to be extremely energetic to pull it off so it ends up being very jolly.

Why are you taking part?

This competition is training us well, especially as I’m new to this. We’re learning how to walk, talk, how to smile and generally behave.

What do you feel about the competition?

I’m enjoying it so far. All the girls are very pretty and have good talents, it’s a big competition to be a part of.

What is your talent?

Singing. I sang a song in both English and Sinhala. From my small days I’ve always loved singing and dancing as a hobby. It frees us. When I listen to music, it makes my life free.

Why are you taking part?

It’s a good opportunity, a good chance to get experience something great in my life.

What do you feel about the competition?

I’m enjoying it! Everyone is beautiful and fabulous.

What is your talent?

I love to dance hip-hop. When I do it I feel confident and happy.

Why are you taking part?

I want to show my talents and personality and what I can do for Sri Lanka. I am participating because it is an honour to represent Sri Lanka.

What do you feel about the competition?

It’s so much fun! I am learning a lot of things, the training is a very good experience.

What is your talent?

Singing and Dancing. It’s in my heart, in my blood. When I dance I feel like I’m the best, because it gives me such confidence.

Why are you taking part?

I think it’s a good chance to use my personality, confidence and intelligence to represent Sri Lanka in an international pageant.

What do you feel about the competition?

There are so many beautiful girls, and they are tough competition.

What is your talent?

I did a Bollywood Dance. India is out neighbouring country and I think we have that sense of dance in our blood. I really appreciate dancing, and this was a good chance to show off my talent and enjoy the moment!

Why are you taking part?

I wanted to experience something new.

What do you feel about the competition?

It’s very tough, there are different things we have to learn and we all have different personalities. I find that managing my time is very hard! Also, everyone is pretty and has different talents, I hope everyone does their best.

What is your talent?

I love to sing. I think it’s important to everyone, and it comes from people’s hearts.

Why are you taking part?

I took part last year also, and this time I have come to win.

What do you feel about the competition?

The competition is really tough, everyone is so talented and different! They’re all very good.

What is your talent?

Bollywood Dance, and I was very nervous but happy to perform.

Why are you taking part?

I think that I am good for this, I have the talent for this.

What do you feel about the competition?

I am enjoying it, everyone is so friendly and it’s lovely to mingle with them.

What is your talent?

Carving melons. I learnt it off YouTube. I wasn’t very excited to show this off, quite nervous actually but I enjoyed it.

Why are you taking part?

I am doing this for the experience, because this is new to me.

What do you feel about the competition?

I have taken part in many modelling shows, but this is different, it’s about beauty, but also intelligence. All the girls are lovely, beautiful, friendly and smart.

What is your talent?

Singing.

Jayakalani

Why are you taking part?

This is my childhood dream. I was counting down until I could perform. I have watched many of these pageants, I love this. My mom also forced me to try out this year.

What do you feel about the competition?

It’s very hard. Everyone has various types of beauty and talent. All of them are friendly and no one is jealous, or mad, and that’s awesome.

What is your talent?

It was a Bollywood dance, but performed in slow motion with an essence of acting in it. I know nothing about dancing, I have never learnt traditional styles but I know that that ability is in me. I choreographed it myself.

Why are you taking part?

I think it will help me develop as a person, and also to represent Sri Lanka. It’s nice to do something for the country that did so much for you.

What do you feel about the competition?

It’s fun but challenging. The girls are nice, we’re all different and easy going.

What is your talent?

I did a dance that had a theatrical element to it. I listened to the song and worked out some moves. It was really scary, but once it was done I felt like I had broken up with an annoying boyfriend! It felt good.
