Each staff member of the Bank has an individual Personal Development Plan where they map out the areas in which they want to develop their knowledge and skills. Based on this requirement projected by the staff member and his/her superior the Bank’s Learning and Development team organizes training programs.
The wellness program attempts to take this effort one step further through the “Lose to Win” program. They strongly believe that programs of this nature will improve the work life balance of staff members while enhancing their quality of life in general.
45 Teams of 4 people in a team have registered and had their height and weight recorded. They walked away on the 23rd of April with the details of their diet plan, exercise plan and their goal to be achieved by the 27th of July 2012.
Four programs on Exercise (Physical) , Diet (Nutrition), Image and Beauty (Personality) and Stress and Relaxation (Yoga) have been scheduled over the 90 day period to assist the participants achieve their goals at a faster pace.
The Finale is scheduled to take place on the 27th of July at the Union Ballroom at Jaic Hilton – Colombo The Winning team will be selected based on the total number of Kg’s each team has lost during the given period.
This initiative is in line with the series of exciting events organised by the Learning and Development Team of Nations Trust Bank to bring to the fore a different brand of ‘learning’. They concluded the “Nations Motor Rally” in March 2012 and will present the “Nations Master Minds” in June and the “Nations Amazing Race” run for the first time in Sri Lankan in 2011 will be conducted once more in October 2012. The final event for the year will be the "Nations Debates" – an annual feature in their calendar.
