Top brands and affordability come together at the newest fashion store in Colombo!

‘Laspezia’, strategically located in the heart of Colombo on Galle Road, is the brainchild of Faraz, a corporate trainer and HR consultant and Majeefa, holding a managerial position in a leading logistics company. It was a longstanding passion of the husband and wife duo to open up their own fashion store to address the huge gap in women’s’ personality development and grooming. They believed that everyone should be entitled to buy branded high quality products and not just the top tier of society. Thus, on the 27th of June 2014 and LASPEZIA was established as the newest women’s fashion store.

The designer boutique is an exclusive all-ladies store that offers unique, high quality handpicked branded products to suit your personality and style. The products are categorized into an all inclusive wide range of casual, work wear, party wear, fashion accessories, footwear and beauty products as well.

Product range includes:

Shirts, Tops, Blouses, Kurtis, Dresses, Shalwar Kameez, T-shirts, Pants, Skirts, Denims, Maternity Pants, Hot-Shorts, Leggings, Four Quarters, , Handbags, Clutches, Purse, Belts, Footwear, Fashion accessories and Beauty products.

We visited Faraz and Majeefa to ask them a few questions about their fashion store.

1. How did you come up with the name ‘Laspezia’ for your store? 

We were brainstorming for a unique name for quite some time, but we were not looking for typical fashion names or meanings representing fashion or clothing as such. Since we were to represent the fashion industry, we wanted a brand personality which would stick to anyone’s mind and one that was uncommon.  “La Spezia” is a famous city in Italy, where leading brands and fashion icons originate. Therefore, we thought of going with “LASPEZIA”, making a small adjustment to the original name.

2. What is fashion to you?

‘Design – Passion – Brands’
That sums up our definition of fashion as we are always on the lookout for new, different and fashionable items. We offer only a few pieces of each product so as to keep our products and our customers distinctive and one of a kind. We follow the European fashion collection and our products need to meet a standard of quality. All items at Laspezia are reasonably priced with the main idea being affordability for everyone.
