MasterChef All Stars returns everyone’s favourite contestants from the first three series to the place where their food dreams came true: the MasterChef Kitchen.
Cooking for their favourite charities, as well as the inaugural All-Stars trophy, 12 of MasterChef’s most beloved alumni will be putting their passion on a plate over a series of iconic challenges that promise to delight and entice viewers like never before.
Speaking about his experiences in the MasterChef Kitchen Kumar says, “It has been hard, with weeks of exciting, challenging and frenetic cooking and I was thrown back into the world of early morning starts, late finishes and the stress of unexpected challenges and of course …the ever present clock ticking ominously overhead. They were such a great bunch of people to work and share a house with. I must admit I was nervous at the start as it was daunting having to cook with the people who inspired me to get on the show – but they were all so friendly and supportive and I couldn’t have had a better experience.”
“The challenges were horrendous and the times allowed impossibly scary, but I am pleased to say we all took it on, and had fun doing it – some amazing cooking by every one and I surprised myself doing things I never thought I would – Now catching up with neglected work, finalizing the book and doing a few more illustrations and back to de-stressing by tending the veggie patches and herbs.” Kumar added.
Kumar has chosen to donate his winnings mine to the Médecins Sans Frontières [Doctors without borders] a charity that he has been supporting for a number of years.
Australia’s first MasterChef Julie Goodwin heads the series one team of Poh-Ling Yeow, Chris Badenoch and Justine Schofield. Callum Hann captains series two competitors Marion Grasby, Jonathan Daddia and Aaron Harvie. And last but certainly not least, dessert queen and series three winner Kate Bracks will lead Dani Venn, Hayden Quinn and Kumar.
Masterchef All Stars will go on air in Australia on the 26th of July.
