The Style Files: It's All In The Eyes
Because it’s rainy and gloomy outside, make your eyes sparkle and shine with delicious shimmery pastel hues this season.
Before applying a pastel shadow, be sure you prep the eye by using a nude shade, from lash line to brow bone. This will prevent creases by keeping the moisture away and will also take away any discolouration. Use your skin tone as a guide to finding the perfect eyeshadow shade. Play with the tones that already exist naturally in your skin. For fairer tones, pinks, pale greys and greens work beautifully.
For warmer, darker tones, taupes, mushrooms plums and charcoals work incredibly well. If you want to be very on trend and modern wear an eyeshadow by itself. Opting not to add mascara or liner will give it an easy glamour update. Adding a swish of pale shadow to the inner corner of your eye will open and brighten the eye. Beiges and mink tones work best but if you’re feeling very bold go with a delicate touch of white. Remember if you’re wearing bright or heavy eye make up keep your skin fresh and luminous and wear a nude lip. You want your eyes to sparkle and sing, not get lost in the rest of your make up!
