Cutout is an exposing new trend also known as the peekaboo style, which is one of the most notable trends showcased during this year; it makes you actually wonder whether the designers have gone scissor crazy!
Cutout can be used around the neckline, shoulders, and of course the waist. But before trying this trend out one must always keep in mind that the cutout should highlight the most flattering part of your body.
Neckline
A dress or a top with cutouts at the collarbone creates a striking edgy look that requires no jewellery to accessorize the outfit. It is advisable to stick with solids when it comes to cutouts for contrast, whilst keeping the hair simple by pulling it back so it does not compete with the cutout effect.
Some button-down blouses, with small cuts near the clavicle, may be suitable for the office but be sure to keep your overall look smart and tailored.
Shoulders
Shoulder cutouts are the most flattering option for any body type. This style creates a more conservative look, which is of course most suited for a casual outfit unless the material of the outfit is richer with sequins detailed around the shoulders for a more glamorous evening look.
Waistline
When it comes to cutouts at the midsection, a higher cutout is more modest on most women. An empire design detail can draw attention up, so it is particularly flattering for figures that are fuller on the bottom.
The cutout trend is not just used on dresses and tops but also used on bathing suits, leggings, pants, shoes and accessories.
This trend is sure to catch anyone’s attention but the most important tip is to keep the exposure of skin to a minimal and the rest be left to the imagination since it is a style based on emitting a sense of class.
