The oversized clutch is a trend from the catwalk that the style savvy set have readily embraced. Clutches, particularly the oversized ones, are no longer only for the evening. They work day to night and are shaping up to be the hottest arm candy a girl can tote her essentials around in.

The larger clutch can easily go from an afternoon of al fresco lunching to sipping cocktails on a night out in 0 to 60 seconds! There’s something so very grown up about taking your entire wallet on a night out instead of only a credit card, ID and a bit of cash tucked into your matchbox size clutch. Wave farewell to the days when your lipstick, wallet, phone and other lady bits had to perform a contortionist act all of their own in order to fit into a teeny, tiny little clutch that could burst at any given moment. The clutch of the moment is far more accommodating.

As with most trends that develop on the front row, as this one did, the message of the accessory is key, refined multi-tasker. Clutches have always tended to be a little more creative than your everyday bag which allows you to add a little bit of whimsy to an outfit while remaining stylish.
