With two experienced beauty professionals working together to make the models look extra glamorous, this year’s HSBC CFW scheduled to start today will run till 26 February 2012 at the Hilton. Renowned international make-up artist NINA JAFFERJI will collaborate with leading local hair and beauty salon Ramani Fernando for HSBC CFW 2012.

 

 

NINA JAFFERJI a New York-based independent make up artist working in fashion and entertainment arrived this week  to act as the lead make up artist for CFW 2012  alongside Ramani Fernando Salons, the official hair and beauty partner of HSBC CFW 2012

 

 

For over 30 years, the name Ramani Fernando has been synonymous with Hair and Beauty in Sri Lanka as well as in the South Asian Region. This is a story of a childhood hobby of messing around with friends' hair turning into a large business.

Nina is excited to collaborate with Ramani Fernando Salons and work with some of Sri Lanka’s  biggest designers for her CFW debut.

 

Nina’s clients include M.A.C Cosmetics, La Mer, Cover Girl and MTV. She works with a range of international musicians, including Pakistani megastar Atif Aslam, singer and face of Olay Malaysia Yuna, the Mexican punk band Le Bucherettes, the Germany’s Emika and the Grammy-nominated band La Vida Boheme. She has also worked at New York’s S/S 2012 Fashion Week, including shows by Bebe, Sachika, Daisy Fuentes, Gibraud and Avril Lavigne’s Abby Dawn collection, and was responsible for leading a team of make up artists for Indian designer duo Kavi Kavi. Recently, Nina finished a project with Chinese supermodel Ling Ling Kong for SIX magazine and will be working with upcoming U.S. designers for Elle. 

 

Nina is fluent in English, German and Italian, which have proved invaluable in the international world of fashion. Nina has a background in dance, performance and art, which plays a role in her passion for make up artistry.
