This Gourmet Dutch event isn't just about celebrating food (although that in itself would be more than reason to go to MLH during April 26 to 28 2012).
MLH will be the ultimate dream when it comes to experiencing the Dutch culture, with their cuisine along with gourmet cheeses and European beverages that will be the highlights.
To celebrate the Dutch Queen mother’s birthday known as Queen's Day or Koninginnedag, MLH has created a three day event, beginning with a Gourmet Cheese and European beverage pairing event that will be held on 26 April and a Gourmet Dutch Dinner with Tom Miesen (pictured below) on 27 April.
The Gourmet Cheese tasting session with Dutch Slow Food will take place on 28 April 2012.
As Anura Dewapura, GM of MLH states, “This festive month, we give you not only one but two reasons to indulge your taste buds - enter Gourmet Cheese tasting with Dutch Slow food.”
Slow Food is a movement with over 100,000 members worldwide, as well as a network of 2,000 food communities who practice small-scale and sustainable production of quality foods.
The Dutch Slow Food night is going to be a treat for all food enthusiasts who love good food combined with even better company.
A huge selection of cheeses including Dutch Goat Cheese, Limburg Grotto cave cheese ”Heuvelland”, Beemster and well known products like Edam and Gouda are just a few on offer. Cheese connoisseur Tom Miesen will give insights into the multifaceted cultural history of this very special milk product paired with ideal beverages.
