More than 10,000 roses were delivered to Michael Jackson's grave Monday as fans commemorated the third anniversary of the King of Pop's death.
As well as the thousands of roses, the Great Mausoleum at Los Angeles' Forest Lawn Memorial Park was awash in bouquets, teddy bears, posters and other tributes, the Los Angeles Times reported, with fans in Japan, Italy and Russia among those remembering Jackson, who died aged 50 on June 25, 2009.
Celebrity fans also tweeted their thoughts, with Justin Bieber saying, "RIP to the best that ever did it. RIP to the KING...RIP Michael Jackson. You will never be forgotten."
Usher added, "RIP Michael Jackson -- you will never die in our hearts, your legacy will live on forever!"
Jackson's eldest child, 14-year-old Paris, tweeted, "RIP Michael Jackson ... Dad you will forever be in my heart ... I love you."
Among those who visited the memorial park was Denver-based Jackson impersonator Carlo Riley, who said he planned to spend June 25 every year at the cemetery and added, "Even though he's gone, this is still my passion."
For those who could not be there in person, Los Angeles woman Robyn Starkand led the "One Rose for Michael Jackson" campaign, allowing fans in far-flung states and other countries to be part of the day.
As fans remembered the pop star, his former doctor Conrad Murray -- serving four years for involuntary manslaughter over his administering Jackson with the fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol -- spoke out, saying he wishes he had testified during his trial.
"He wishes he testified. He absolutely wishes he testified," Murray's attorney Valerie Wass said. "Ed Chernoff [Murray"s attorney] was pretty adamant that he not testify, Mr. [J. Michael] Flanagan [his other attorney] thought he should testify. So he never testified."
Murray -- who is expected to receive an early release later this year -- is planning to appeal his conviction.
