I’m led to towards a table facing the seaside at the Kingsbury where I see a figure of a young lady looking out into the ocean. She turns around to face me and I am taken by surprise by her beauty and height. It is no wonder she has be regarded as “The World’s Sexiest Female DJ” the stunning Ukrainian is quite friendly and greets me and says “ask me whatever you want.” Being the “nice boy” that I am, I asked away!
How did it all start?
It all began 5 years ago when one of my friends bought a set of turntables. I began to experiment and then I found out that I was good at it. It always means something extra special when you are self taught. But what made me realize that this was my calling was when the music hit me and I found no reason as to why I should not pursue a career as a DJ.
When do you know you have played a good set?
Playing a good mix is like making love. It’s a two way thing and you cannot play just what you want, you have to be able to adopt to what the crowd wants as well and you have to able to please them.
What are your thoughts on being named as The World’s Sexiest Female DJ?
I feel damn sexy about it!
What would you consider the top dance track of 2014?
Tony Jnr’s Twerk Anthem.
What has been your best experience as a DJ?
It has to be the gig I played in Malaysia a couple of weeks ago, the crowd was simply nuts! It began to rain for almost 4 hours but they just kept on partying! I have never seen something like that!
Which are the places that you play frequently and enjoy?
Italy, France and Malaysia.
What are the best festivals you have played at?
Tomorrowland, Mysterious World and Life in Color.
You have created a number of mixes, what has been your favourite?
It has to be the one I’m releasing on the 29th of September, titled “it’s time to rock it” there is something about the song which makes it feel more closer to my heart.
You have played in Sri Lanka before, what are your thoughts on fans here?
Sri Lankans know how to party and the last time I was here they wouldn’t stop partying so I guess this time will be bigger and better with so many parties.
