AOD 2nd Year Advanced Concept Project And Swimwear Project And AOD 1st Year Jeans Project 
 
The AOD 2nd year students presented a concept project and swimwear project while the AOD 1st year students presented a Jeans project which showcased their design ability, innovation and creativity. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
Emerging Designers Category 
 
Stellazo by Mudara De Zoysa - The use of colour and the subtle hints of geometry in her textile designs made them wearable and fashionable. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Raidha’s Maldives by Raidha Shafeeg - A black and white collection which featured sheer fabrics, lace and fringing combined with the subtle use of embellishments lent an air of sophistication to Raidha’s collection. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Nadiya by Nadiya Iqbal - This was a repeat show from Day 2. Great silhouettes, and sleek designs which infused class and finesse to display a perfect collection of garments which simply dazzled. 
 
 

 
2015 Graduate Segment 
 
Mekhala Gunasena showcased a collection that refelected funky street style with attitude. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Kalpani Nandarathne colourful separates dominated Kalpani’s collection. 
 
  
 
 
 
 

Senurika De Silva displayed great use of colour blocking in her collection which had a sporty element to it. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Chanduka Gallearachchi paid homage to denim in blue and black which featured extensively in her collection. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Shenal Marasinghe’s collection of menswear contained sharp shirts and winter wear. 
 
 
 
 
 

Thulanga Gunawardene displayed great talent as a textile designer with his floral motifs and abstract prints in muted colours. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Nilushi De Costa - A floral theme ran through Nilushi’s collection which featured dainty floral textiles and appliqued floral motifs. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Deema Rupasinghe featured jumpsuits, playsuits and separates in bright eyecatching colours. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Indeevari Edirisinghe A military inspired collection which featured some strong silhouettes and sharp tailoring. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Wathmi Jayalath’s collection was all white on the night! Beautiful silhouettes in a variety of fabrics adorned with embellishments added an ethereal feel to her collection. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Erika Balasooriya - A sporty collection which featured some quirky prints. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Chanduli Senanayake - Colour dominated Chanduli’s collection which contained neons to candy box pinks to rich jewel tones. A collection which was a visual delight. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Ganisha De Silva - His was a novel interpretation of invading western cultures colliding with the indigenous Sri Lankan culture using traditional craft techniques alongside contemporary fashion explorations and high tech coated fabrics. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
Michelle Jayatunga’s collection featured cocktail wear with great use of crochet, fringing and embellishments. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Thrilakshi Divakara - Inspired by faces, her range of prints had a Daliesque effect. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Nilakshi Gamage - Her collection reinterpreted the historical conflict between Native Americans and US Cavalry in a Sri Lankan context using artisanal design and handlooms with sustainable industrial techniques.
