How is Rag coming along?
Brilliantly! I have a very enthusiastic and talented cast and I can’t wait for Sri Lankan audiences to experience all this homegrown talent and creativity!
How long did it take for you to put it together?
Half my life! I wrote it from 1997 – 1999 inspired by my University experience, previewed it in 2004 & 2005 and finally performing it this October: around 15 years!
What was your start to the world of Drama?
Performing for the Interschool Shakespeare Drama Festivals and British Council productions.

A creative, possessive, perfectionist who enjoys laughing!
Do you believe in afterlife?
I do believe our spirit lives on as energy once released from our bodies.
What is the most embarrassing moment of your life?
I’m sure there have been many but I can’t remember one that stands out.
How were you as a kid?
Fat, shy, energetic, and generally alone.
What’s important in your life?
Making a positive change in people’s lives through theatre.
What was the best job you ever had and why was it the best?
My present job doing theatre full time. I’m my own boss, doing what I love most, meeting and working with talented people and enjoying every minute of it!
Who are your heroes and why?
My mother is my all time heroine! She brought up my brother and myself alone after my father passed on, and with a very small income. She is the strongest, humblest and most generous person I know.
If...
If you could do one thing over in your life, what would it be?
I can’t think I’d want to change anything I’ve done. I am what I am due to those experiences and even the mistakes.
If you had to rank how attractive you are on a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rank yourself?
Um… I’m always overly critical to 5 as average, but sometimes I feel like a model.

Jerome for his ability to duplicate major musicals. I admire and respect Indu’s originality too.

I enjoy them all, but perhaps Adam’s versatility is notable.
