The Style Files : The Best Dressed List - April 2016
Every month I do a roundup of events that played host to some of the most sartorially savvy, polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers. In April, quite possibly the hottest one I’ve experienced, looking good in the face of heat and humidity is not easy but these people impressed with their style, their poise, their ability to pull a unique look together and were the most soigne of the soigne for the month. There was no shortage of fashion hits last month and I look forward to seeing more stylish looks this month!
Audi Launch
L-R: 1, 2, 3
1. Her dress may seem simple at first, but it's the unconventional cut and colour (which the Chloe collection featured heavily) that make it stand out, her delicate strappy heels with their interesting front tie detailing complete the look.
2. Hottest hair trend, the side plait - check. Monochrome magic with black skinnies and a white shirt - check. Visual interest through a pop of colour with yellow shoes - check. Geek chic glasses - check. Model proportions - check. On trend, stylish and sartorially savvy - check!
3. I like how her ensemble is uncomplicated. The simple black dress paired with leg lengthening gold pointed toe heels, very safe but when combined with the green detailing in her hair reads fashion forward without trying too hard.

Rachitha
Sharp, sleek and impressive. This three piece suit hits all the high notes, in colour, fit and form. It has a rouge-ish bond like charm as well that doesn’t hurt!
Standard Chartered W3
Rezani
Everything about this look is lovely. The power clashing between the metallic colour blocking on her sari and the print of her jacket, her minimalist accessories, her pop of lip colour and tousled waves all combine for a stellar look.
Brazilian Embassy Cocktails
Ajai
I like the way he mixes different styles and references, he keeps it simple, with an accent of ingenuity in a way that's effortless and cool.
Sonia

There’s a reason why little black dresses are so popular and Sonia proves this case in point. It’s refined, timeless and elegant. The ruffle detail on the shoulder of her dress is offset by the sleek bodice, and her waves and minimalist accessories make this outfit an instant classic.
Gayatri

The colour blocking in her sari is an absolute visual treat. This is clever dressing, with her accessories kept to an absolute minimum letting her beautiful sari shine.
De Lanerolle Brothers In Concert

1. This look is so polished and flawless. The metallic colour, the pleated skirt of her dress (so Gucci), the slicked black hair and gold accessories are so fashion forward and on trend. She steals the show in this stunning look!
Shiromal
This is an interesting silhouette that is clean and minimalist. The addition of her multi- hued necklace is fashion-forward and makes this look something truly special.

There’s something to be said for simplicity and this pared down look is pretty. The classic silhouette of the dress coupled with just the right amount of visual interest with her neckline detailing and paired with t-bar shoes is the perfect balance of traditional and fashion-forward.
Nilanthi
The colour, cut and length of this dress are lovely. The plunging neckline balances out perfectly with the length of her dress and while I think it would pair beautifully with a metallic heel, her sandals are spot on for the opening of a beach resort.
