Currently the Boutique Manager at Tropic of Linen, Shane, 22, describes his signature style as ‘classic’ and ‘simple.’ 

So this week on Street Style, we take a look into Shane’s style persona; 

LOOK 1: Casual 

Here I’m wearing a denim shirt from Cotton On, shorts from Middle Finger Sri Lanka, Birkenstock sandals, a Tissot watch and shades from Cotton On. I think denim is timeless and can easily be dressed up or down and shorts are perfect for our tropical climate and that’s why I love this look. 

LOOK 2: Smart Casual 

I’m wearing a pair of linen shorts and shirt, both from Tropic of Linen and I’ve paired it with brown loafers I purchased at the LA fashion district. The rich texture on the shorts and styling with the shoes and accessories takes this look a notch higher. I love this combination because of its versatility. 

LOOK 3: Day Look 

For my day look I’m wearing an all linen outfit again from Tropic of Linen. This striped shirt and the white trouser make the outfit laidback and easy to wear. I’ve worn leather slip-ons to complete this look and accessorised with a Tissot watch and signature gold jewellery. 

LOOK 4: Evening Wear 

For this look I’m wearing a shirt from H&M, tailored black trousers and suede shoes from Jeff Banks AU. I love the rich royal blue tone of the shirt and the contrast of the shoe which puts the outfit together. I’m wearing a Tag Heuer Dual tone watch and signature gold bracelets. This look is what I would wear to a semi-formal event or an evening out. 

LOOK 5: Night Out 

Here again I’m wearing a shirt from H&M, black tailored trousers and black loafers from the LA fashion district. The shot effect and subtle print on the shirt is a detail that I really like and the little tassel detail on the shoe is my favourite part of this look along with the vintage vibe it carries. I’m wearing a Tag Heuer Dual tone watch, gold bracelets and black belt to complete this look. 

Style Role Model: I do not have a role model in particular. But I do get my inspiration from a few pages I follow on Instagram. Iamgalla, tomlondon, modamascstyle, mr.rutherford and bradgoreski are a few to name. 

Favourite Colours to Pair: Blues, greys, black and white 

Go To Outfit: A pair of linen trousers or shorts and a shirt

A wristwatch

Good shoes 
Signature jewellery 

Makeup Tip: A good cleanser (Kiehl's), a BB cream (Physician's Formula), a lip balm with SPF in it and good perfume (Noir by Tom Ford is my personal favourite) and hairspray if you’re in for a long day! 

Style Tip: Less is more, always have decent shoes and be YOU in what you wear.
