Raoul, 23, has a sense of style that most of us can relate to. “I’m more of a straight from the cupboard kind of guy” he says, “I like my style simple and casual and occasionally not ironed!”. When asked he says that his signature style comes in the form of beige pants paired with a T-shirt.

His style ethos is further enhanced by a plethora of tattoos we thought were interesting. On his left hand is a cross and on his right arm, we find a gorgeous blacked out forest tattoo that he says represents his love to go hiking and find himself in places completely cut off from human connection. “It’s utter bliss” he says. We find a semi-colon tattoo on behalf of those fighting depression and suicidal tendencies and Arabic lettering spelling out ‘Jihaad’, meaning to overcome struggles and obstacles. “I fought depression as well and these tattoos are a reminder of what I overcame and my dedication to help those struggling with depression.”

So this week, we follow Raoul (and his tattoos!), to see what he has in store for Street Style.

LOOK 1

This is my college look. It’s a shirt and slack look. So right now I’m wearing a blue shirt with beige slacks and this is one of my favourites. I wear it once a week; I love this whole outfit that much. I’ve paired if off with my favourite brown shoes.

LOOK 2

This is my work look. I work part time while I’m studying so to work I would wear my work T-shirt with blue Levi’s jeans which are comfy and rugged; they are the best jeans in the world. And as for shoes, I wear a pair of ankle top boots that I bought from the DSI store at Liberty Plaza.

LOOK 3

This is a casual outfit. You’ll find me running around in this when I’m not at work or at college. I’m a big fan of shorts so I’m wearing blue shorts paired off with a Superman T-shirt. It’s a bit of a crushed look because I’m very easygoing when it comes to my style.

Style Role Model: Well, I never had one when I was small. One and a half years ago I began to focus on my style so I think Alessandro Manfredini was a big influence in it.

Favourite Colours to Pair: Beige or brown paired with a blue or black.

Go To Outfit: Beige shorts or my black or blue Levi’s with a blue or black t shirt.

Style NO’s: Slippers with jeans! I honestly hate it. I really don’t understand how people work around with slippers and jeans. You pair jeans with proper shoes, not slippers!
