Today I feature one FUN brand which is full of life! I fell in love with these guys from the time I met them, a fun brand for every man and woman out there, and it's totally Sri Lankan! 

Clubhouse Vivaldi, has two young guys behind the great work you see on the shelves - Dinushka and Jonathan. They believe that you can not only look good from out, but you need to always feel good from inside. As I’m NOT the best underwear model and I’m sure you will not like the view I asked them to make T-shirts and to get a mannequin who is fit to do the modelling for me. 

Why did you guys decide to do underwear? 

It's the first piece of clothing you put on when you wake up and it's the last thing you take off after a long day of work. So something you wear for that long needs to be the most functional and comfortable piece of clothing anyone should own. This is our design ethos. 

What is your favourite part about being in fashion? And doing what you guys do? 

Striving to redefine the underwear experience. 

What were your inspirations for the designs you create? And the prints you use? 

The designs need to inspire my creative consciousness, accented by my love for travel and nature. Johnny and I are junkies for the outdoors. 

How do you select the materials you use? 

I don't want to answer this buddy. It's our little secret. 

You told me about a Christmas collection, when is it out? 

It marries the idea of celebrating Christmas on a sunny island. Hopefully, by the second week of December! 

You say your brand is gym friendly, give me more details? 

Our line of microfiber performance trunks are designed just for this. They will feel like second skin thanks to a super soft moisture wicking fabric, flatlock seam construction and a superior fit. 

What are your plans for the future with this brand, as there are many in the market? 

To keep providing the best underwear experience without compromising on comfort, price and design. 

What would you say is your work ethic? 

Hard work outsmarts luck! 

How important is it to look good inside? 

They don't say 'what matters most is what's inside' for nothing. 

What are your thoughts on this shoot? 

It is a fun and fresh take on fashion, I feel it breaks down the seriousness of fashion that is to be found in Colombo.

What do think about a local underwear brand? 

I really like their venture simply because it's a niche market. No one has thought of doing trendy designer underwear locally, especially for men. But I'm really impressed with their cool designs. 

Now that you have tried it on, what are your thoughts on it? 

As I'm a gym freak myself, I have tried out their sports underwear which really makes you feel comfortable throughout the day. I guess it's the unique material they use for it. 

What are your thoughts on this shoot? 

It was one of the funniest shoots I have done since it was related to men's underwear's and Danu was wearing a T-shirts made from the material of the underwear and this made it more hilarious in addition to the poses he did with the mannequin was out of this world!
