The Best Dressed List - March 2016

Every month I do a roundup of events that played host to some of the most sartorially savvy, polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers. In March these people impressed with their style, their poise, their ability to pull a unique look together and were the most soigne of the soigne for the month. There was no shortage of fashion hits last month and I look forward to seeing more stylish looks for April!

Best Dressed at CFW (March 2)

Saskia

This long, flowing jumpsuit/gown is a celebrity favourite. Style icons Olivia Palermo and Gigi Hadid have both been seen rocking this look from celebrity favourite design house Self Portrait. The colour is perfect on Saskia and her Kotur clutch adds just the right amount of visual interest.

Christina

This little white dress is a classic. The silhouette combined with her nude strappy heels pay homage to the sometimes less is more ethos and is perfect for Christina's yoga honed figure.

Tymo

We salute anyone who has the confidence to pull off this look. Tymo is bold and unafraid to take a fashion risk and that’s why he’s a natural for the best-dressed list.

Leena

We also love how she paired this simple silhouette with Chanel accessories, which are so timeless and elegant. The proportions are fantastic (fitted up top, voluminous down below). This is how you dress up a crop top and skirt.

Chevonne

A pair of black trousers and a white top is about as simple as you can get, but Chevonne dressed up her look with her shoes. The strappy detailing is the focal point and combined with the simplicity of her outfit, take this look from boring to brilliant.

Burns Supper (March 4)

Pam (right)

Here is how you do floral. The background on this dress makes it event appropriate while the floral detail highlights her curves. This gown is sophisticated, because of the plunging neckline, but still fun and youthful because of the colour.

Karina (right)

Karina always wears bright, bold colours, and this dress is especially fantastic. The colour pops against her complexion and we like that she added more colour to the ensemble with a hot pink clutch and gold heels.

Cocktails (March 11)

Sandun

Sandun always brings a fresh take to classicism with traditional pieces - styled with a cool but disheveled attitude. Style, for me, has to be effortless and he always looks immaculate, we’d expect nothing less from a leading fashion photographer!

We love off the shoulder dresses. Not only are they extremely flattering, but they work on most body types and this colour is really punching up the look.

Musical Soirée (March 18)

Sunil

Sunil's style is a mix of Indian heritage with influences from his travels around the globe. To me, he embodies the modern well-dressed man.

The Bungalow (March 30)

Nelum

The graphic pattern on her skirt is really interesting and the colours are amazing against her skin. I like that Nelum has kept the rest of her look simple with her YSL clutch and sleeveless top.

Point Of View (March 31)

Brian

I like the way he mixes different styles and references. Brian is one of the rare men that looks equally at ease in a sharp suit or jeans and a white shirt as he does here.
