The Style Files : The Best Dressed List - January 2016
Every month we do a roundup of events that played host to some of the most sartorially savvy, polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers. In February these people impressed with their style, their poise, their ability to pull a unique look together and were the most soigne of the soigne for the month.
Colombo Jazz & Blues Festival
(L-R) Anusha, Ramona, Yoshi, Malin, Rishini
Anusha
What a fabulous dress by Buddhi Batiks and Anusha wears it beautifully. She understands how to perfectly balance an outfit with minimalist make up, gold sandals and fuss free hair. The red hue pops against her complexion and her look is both fun and sophisticated.
Ramona
We love Ramona because she never plays it safe, She always manages to giver her looks a little edge be it through gladiator sandals or a funky Apple watch! Her oversized white shift is practical (for a warm day) and chic enough to transition from day to night. It’s feminine and proves that you don't have to dress overtly sexy to look incredibly stylish.
Yoshi
Here’s how you do boho chic! The embroidered detailing, the antique silver cuff and necklace, her gladiator sandals and wavy hair all give off that free spirit boho vive, perfect for a Jazz and Blues Fest!
Malin
Her outfit is put together, elegant and sleek. Her jumpsuit is elegant and chic and I love that she doesn’t stray from a neutral palette including her fabulous Celine sunnies!
Rishini
It's playful, flattering and has just the right amount of visual interest. Simple flats allow her dress to really take centre stage as does pairing in with a black YSL clutch.
Come Walk With Me
Sonali
The beauty of this outfit lies in its simplicity, it is understated yet striking. Her cuff and embellishment on the neck add visual interest as do her hair and make- up.
World of Outdoor opening
This is how you elevate a look with accessories! I love how she’s put her own spin on the classic black look and given it a rocker edge!
Bishops College Founders Day
Maeve
The off-the-shoulder dress is here to stay and this one is bang on trend! Her simple accessories allow the floral print to really take centre stage and I like that she’s not added any jewellery.
Ms. Tourism Sri Lanka International
Ramani
This is pure perfection and is why Ramani is a regular on the best dressed list. From the colour, the style of her sari jacket the mix of metallics with her gold clutch, this whole look exudes style and sophistication.
CFW kick off party
Yasmin (left) and Rebecca (right)
Yasmin
The draping, colour, cut and fit all work perfectly to create a fabulous look. Sleek hair and a pop of lip colour finish it perfectly!
Rebecca
Yes to the colour (orange is the go to hue for 2016), yes to the silhouette and length that make her legs look endless, yes to her ankle strapped pumps), yes to her lipstick. Yes, yes, yes.
Best Dressed at CFW 2016
Chris
She always looks amazing and this outfit is no exception. The neutral tones worked perfectly with a red lip and I love her Aquazzura shoes and McQueen clutch. Tres chic!
