A model by profession and the brand ambassador for Lovi Sarongs, Adrian is a well-known face in Sri Lanka’s fashion industry having graced the runway at some of Colombo’s leading fashion shows.

When asked about his signature style, Adrian says he prefers to wear anything that pairs up with his personality and mood. “It’s a bit of a mix,” he says, “if I feel like looking sharp it’s a suit, if I want to dress up then maybe a Lovi sarong with a tux jacket and shirt and if not, I’d stick to a very hipster look.”

LOOK 1: Day/Evening

(Location: COi by Vichalya)

This is a Lovi sarong from their Rugby Active collection. I’d wear this outfit for a day where I have to run around a lot and with our Sri Lankan weather I find that the sarong is really comfortable to wear. Plus it’s a beautiful shade of red and it’s hand woven with pockets so it’s very convenient. I’m wearing it with a white shirt from ODEL and a Casio gold watch and grey Arugam Bay lace up loafers.

LOOK 2: Edgy Formal

(Location: Clique)

This is a Lovi sarong from their Tux collection; a blue sarong with a ribbon on the side and I wore it with a jacket and a tucked shirt. I usually finish up the outfit with a dress shoe and some nice jewellery and a bow tie. Right now I’m wearing jewellery from Kasun London; a gold ring with a white topaz and stake cufflinks from his collection and it really adds detail to the whole look.

LOOK 3: Evening Wear

(Location: Il Cielo)

Something I would wear for a party or a meeting. I’m wearing Conscience which is a sustainable brand. The shirt is an olive green full-coloured shirt that I paired with a navy blue long trouser with side buckles for details. For shoes I wore white Arugam Bay lace up loafers. I didn’t want to wear too much jewellery because it’s a simple outfit so I’d wear my Ray Ban shades and a vintage Longines watch that I wear day to day.

LOOK 4: Formal Wear

(Location: Berlin Sky Lounge)

I love suits and I love wearing something that fits me. This is by O:Live Couture. It’s a two piece wool slim suit in navy blue coupled with a black shirt and suede shoes from Italy. Details wise I’m wearing a silver tie clip and a silver vampire bite ring from Kasun London that gives an overall simple, elegant look.

LOOK 5: Everyday Wear

(Location: Berlin Sky Lounge)

This is something I wear throughout the day or to run events or a small event. I love jeans and I just love Levi’s jeans. I’m wearing it with a white t shirt which I love to wear so I tend to have a lot of them. To dress it up I’m wearing a denim jacket by Levi’s and I wanted some nice jewellery that’s nice and pretty that won’t ruin the outfit so I’m wearing a Kasun London stake cross chain and a ring from SarikaDodang and I’ll top it off with a hat and leather boots.

Favourite Colours to Pair: I love light colours and anything to do with vintage looking simple cloths. I love wearing denims and chambray colours. They are such an ease to match and goes with literally anything. I love a good colour palette of blue, white and grey. Most of my wardrobe is made out of that colour palette with a vintage twist to it.

Go To Outfit: White T-shirt, Levi's Jeans or a Lovi sarong and boots or loafers. I love the sound of something stylish and outgoing at the same time!

Style Must Have’s?

- A few sarongs

- A fine tailored suit and a few jackets alongside the day to day that represents yourself very well

- Some accessories on men go a long way

Style NO’s: I think 'fit; is really important. If the clothes don't fit right on you, it doesn't do any justice to you or the clothes you wear. Also, I think curating your clothes with colour and category makes a statement. Also bad shoes is such a no, those things ruin the entire look.

Style Hacks

· Rotate. This is really important especially for me because I love white t-shirts and have many of them. I'm always careful not to wear the same too many times in a short time span. It's really bad for your clothing life span.

· Plus plain coloured clothes that are simple can be worn a couple of more times and they will be noticed yet not imprinted, this give you the opportunity to wear them another time.
