Don't we all wish we had sparkling, glowing hair that behaved on its own, looked fabulous throughout the day and could pull off any audacious style?
Unfortunately that isn't the case, and even if it were true, the cons that follow overpower the pros. Every single time!
Here are a few of those major issues we all attempt to combat daily and some solutions.
1. Excessive hair loss which convinces you, you have a terminal illness
Strands of hair everywhere, and seemingly the most annoying duty of it all is to get rid of it. Floors, pillows, driving seats, chairs have no escape and it seems like the hairs are magnetised towards everything else but your head. Constant complaints from parents and those around you on your ever falling hair suggests that you either get it cut short or just go bald. However many people treasure their long hair over short and its departure might be heart breaking.
The best solution to control hair fall is pure coconut oil treatment at least once a week. It prevents the thinning of hairs causing less breakage as a result. Frequent use of this natural treatment may put a stop to the complaints you've heard for being responsible of clogging up of your shower drains!
2. Bad hair cuts
The cover girl of Vogue was what you intended and your hair dresser made you look like Justin Bieber! Well you've got to live with it at least till your hair grows back.
If it's absolutely horrific, accessorise using headbands or pretty bows as a distraction from the hair cut. As soon as it grows long enough, tie your hair in a pony tail until you are in safe hands for a better haircut. Advise the hairdresser on the exact length you prefer shortened and have a hawk eye on every move. It is usual for the hairdresser to go to town and experiment on your head if you aren't concerned.
3. Same hair length and it has been forever and a day
If there was a world record for having the slowest hair growth, you'd top it unchallenged. Slower hair growth is extremely frustrating especially if you get tired of the same old concept quicker than the rest of us.
Wanting to change how you look since you were twelve but unable to do so because of your hair being stubborn can be tackled through proper hair nutrition. It also might be a result of unsuitable shampoo and conditioner and unbalanced diet. Give your hair the necessary nutrients and you might be the next Rapunzel.
4. The struggle of redoing straightened hair over and over again
There's no break for your scalp and head as your newly straightened hair decides to misbehave by growing longer, introducing baby hairs to pop out unreasonably making you look like someone with a really confused fashion sense. Top part curly, middle wavy and bottom straight does not look appealing especially when you're being photographed.
Go for full hair straightening or avoid straightening at all as redoing, is harmful for your hair as well as an exasperating task.
5. Hair too straight for any styling
Yes, just like curly hair problems, straight hair too has its cons. Attempts on braiding or any form of styling without the use of gel or hairspray is utterly futile. If hair is layered it's worse as pieces of hair keeps sticking out from the braid making you look like a walking bird's nest. Even the grip on the pony tails loosens up if you decide on a sporty activity. It is indeed a constant battle to train your hair into behaving the way you want.
To solve this issue, extra fish clips, bands, bobby pins could be used or go for hairspray.
6. Eternally bad hair day
The commercials lied. Your hair is never going to look like those adverts and is not going to slide and glide at the sight of wind blowing in your hair. It is more likely to frizz up and make you look like Eliza Thornberry with her hair loose.
If you're not partial towards how your hair looks loose, try on a tied up look either with a side or middle part. If all fails, go for bangs. You cannot go wrong with bangs!
7. Hair colouring aftershock - expectation vs reality
Decided to be brave and go for a bold colour; red on your head which ultimately ended up in a nasty shade of pink and now you have to live with it!? Not just that, but the colour change with time making you feel like a chameleon with no control is more than painful. The bleaching which needs to be done occasionally is a continuous nag if you're unable to do it yourself. Rushing off to your hairstylist every time the colouring fades leaving the white blotch of bleach visible is overwhelming to deal with.
Therefore go for highlights or less daring colours as it easily blends with the natural hair colour. Nevertheless if you enjoy experimenting, go for making a statement!
