The Best Dressed List - January 2016 

Every month we do a roundup of events that played host to some of the most sartorially savvy, polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers. In January these people impressed with their style, their poise, their ability to pull a unique look together and were the most soigne of the soigne for the month.

There are few things more beautiful than a well done camel-colored monochromatic outfit, this look is hits all the right notes. The gold accents from her jewellery mixed with her dress and skin tone work incredibly well and the belt really helps to define her shape.Kudos! 

(right) Self Portrait is one of the hottest, emerging, beloved by celebs designers out there and it’s fantastic to see two ladies on the BDL wearing them. The colour of this dress is fantastic and pairs well the simple YSL clutch, I would have preferred nude pumps but her red shoes make it fun, young and hip! 

Nature Enchantments

This outfit is sophisticated yet fun at the same time. The combination of the full, printed skirt with the long-sleeved black top is so laid back, yet so effortlessly chic. It looks great on the green carpet. I like how she’s played with texture and injected an element of fun into it with her hot pink lipstick. 

(centre) Another great look for the green carpet! Florals can be tricky to pull off but she does it well. All the colors in this look are really working for her. The peachy hue is a great base for the vibrant pink, green and orange and is so pretty with her skin tone. The wedges give her great height and are so practical. 

Yureni (right)

This is how you should clash prints! Her tribal print oversized clutch and skirt play off each other beautifully. This look is so successful because the rest of her outfit is simple, she went easy on the accessories and her two tone pumps elongated her seemingly endless legs.

Bang on trend with florals, the color, pattern and cut all work together to make her look fabulous.

It’s fantastic to see Davina rocking this Self Portrait look so fabulously. There is perfect balance in this look, and that's why it works so well. Her choice of pumps is also spot-on, as their nude color is makes her legs look longer and I like how she’s injected personality into her look with a red lip. 

Annika (right)

There is a reason that seasoned fashionistas always sticks to neutral colors -- they look amazing on! This lace dress is beautiful on Annika and very classically elegant, in its style, fit and proportions. 

Oman Air Anniversary

This dress is like a breath of spring air! The cut of it is what makes it so successful. It is fitted up top and flares out to a great length that is so flattering on. I like that her accessories are neutral which allows her dress to shine.

The fold-over top gives the ensemble dimension and Suzanne's sleek center part is perfect for the curve-hugging silhouette. Her bold red lipstick and strappy shoes further cement her sartorial prowess. 

Sandun (right)

Sandun embodies the modern well-dressed man. He mixes different styles and references and is never afraid to take risks and loves playing with his look. 

Sunshine Charity Gala 

Sunethra 

This is a great red dress and red looks great on Sunethra. It’s simple, so effortless and chic. The movement in it adds just enough drama for a cocktail.
