Offering the most unique styles in women’s wear, the online retail store brings down from abroad the latest clothing in women’s fashion and customers pay on delivery. The brainchild behind 20 Robe on facebook is 23 year old Nisshanthini Thangaraj.

Nisshanthini has always been an avid shopper; after years of high fashion shopping in London where she completed her Masters Degree specializing in International Business, she came back to Sri Lanka and immediately noticed a gap in the retail market. Hailing from a family involved with textiles, she has made it her goal to bridge that gap by bringing in affordable and trend-setting high fashion to Sri Lanka through her new online fashion store “20 Robe” which she set up on the 20^th of February 2012.

“I made the decision to go online because I wanted to bring in the e-shopping / online shopping trend to Sri Lanka. The Features we have in our store are similar to any high brand fashion shop as we have the images of relevant dresses along with the Measurements and Size Chart and a fulltime hotline,” Nisshanthini explained

With women these days too busy to spend time shopping to find that perfect outift, the online store enables any women to find that cute dress she always wanted at the click of a mouse. According to the young entrepreneur, due to the growing rate of online consumers, she has begun work on the launch of an official website for the store.

Featuring a collection of young stylish designs sutiable for most age groups; feedback for the Facebook page has been excellent so far and beyond what she expected from a new venture. The reason behind initiating the marketing campaign through Facebook she said, was so they not only targeted local consumers but also many consumers from right across the globe.

Nishaanthini states that as her concept was to bring in more unique trendy collections to Sri Lanka, she has worked on it by keeping in touch with numerous suppliers. However, as suppliers may send in plenty of items to choose from, she is very particular of what she puts on the site as she wants to give her customers the best designs she can find.

Some of the designs are tailor made and plans are being made to introduce a ladies shoe collection and matching accessories to the relevant dresses to make a complete designer ensemble.
