“ESCAPE: STORIES OF SURVIVORS”: A Theatrical Production Highlighting Child Sexual Abuse in Sri Lanka

LEADS, in partnership with Sevalanka Foundation, proudly announces "ESCAPE: Stories of Survivors," a theatrical production under Sevalanka’s Anonymous Productions spotlighting the real-life stories of six child sexual abuse survivors in Sri Lanka. The play will be staged at the Lionel Wendt Theatre on June 4th and 9th, 2024.

“ESCAPE” aims to raise awareness and funds to provide school supplies for 2,000 vulnerable children for the 2025 school year. Featuring moving monologues from esteemed guests, such as Danu Innasithamby, Kevin Cruze and more, the play seeks to let survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence know that they are not alone.

Both LEADS and the Sevalanka Foundation are committed to keeping the conversation on child sexual abuse ongoing and ensuring that survivors receive the support they need to rebuild their lives.
