Why work would be dull without them!
· They are the only ones who actually care about how your weekend was.
Most often you start your week by updating and sharing with your Work BFF about all what you did during the weekend and where you went. Even if you just lazed around at home it is very important that you share this information.
· You have so many inside jokes that it is hard to keep up with them.
It doesn’t matter how long you have been friends for you have so many inside jokes that it is even difficult to remember them all! Sometimes it only takes a nod or a wink to burst out laughing because you both know exactly what the other means.
· You get irritated by the same people.
You and your work BFF definitely get irritated by the same people. You go to the other to vent and ‘discuss’ all what is wrong with that other person. Sometimes it’s your whole conversation, you can easily spend hours talking about how their hair is wrong. You are work BFFs for a reason, you do like and dislike the same people.
· Your lunch times are never lonely.
In fact this is the time of the day that you make maximum use of to communicate all what you have to. (Of course you do make several other stops at their stations during the day) Also you share your food, so you end you eating half of his/her lunch and vice versa. Lunch time is never dull when you have a work BFF!
· You are constantly encouraging each other.
You are the first to congratulate the other on doing a good job. This emotional support goes a long way because they really understand the challenges you face at work. They are also the first to point out if you have done something wrong and if your work can improve. You don’t get offended because you know they mean well.
· You get more excited about work parties and trips.
Your attendance at work events is largely dependent on the attendance of your work BFF. You know you have your partner in crime to have all kinds of crazy fun! Also you don’t have to worry about walking in alone. Whenever there is an event it is a guarantee that you are going to have a fabulous time!
· They are the only person with whom you will talk about your work crushes.
If you have a crush on one of your colleagues your work BFF is the only you will confide with. When they are on board you will come up with crazy plans with how to ‘bump into your crush’ or ‘accidently’ become their partner on a project. Your work BFF will also watch out for you!
· With a work BFF even meetings are fun.
A glance or an eyebrow raise can say it all. You also love sitting next to each other in meetings because you live for the sneaky looks and side comments. You two maybe the only ones whispering throughout the whole meeting.
· You’re simultaneously jealous and happy for each other when either of you gets a day off.
You know you are going to terribly miss him/her and secretly wish they never took leave. For that day in office you become the awkward loner. You spend most of your day updating the other with what’s happening at office.
· You rely on each other for everything.
They are your second source for things you may need, like chargers, deodorant, and any other random items. If you don’t have it you are sure they will and is never hesitant to lend or share it with you.
· They eventually become your BFF for life.
You’re regularly thankful for the fact you met each other at work because it’s unlikely you would have met otherwise. You constantly live in fear of being separated because, frankly, you’re terrible influences on each other. But you know that work is so much better with someone to share your craziness with.
