Vidya Balan : Last year, she showed her bold and sensuous act in The Dirty Picture, winning a National Film Award for Best Actress. This year she came out with a serious and no-sense avatar in Kahaani, for which she received good appreciation for her performance.
Katrina Kaif : Kaif has appeared in two high-profile productions movies – Kabir Khan’s spy thriller Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan and Yash Chopra’s film Jab Tak Hai Jaan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Anushka Sharma : The actress showed off her acting skills in late filmmaker Yash Chopra’s last film Jab Tak Hai Jaan along with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. With the big stars she managed to stand out with her brilliant act.
Sonakshi Sinha : This year looked good for the star, she has acted with the leading stars of Bollywood – Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. And the other feat is all the films have proven to be successful; her films Rowdy Rathore and Son Of Sardaar made it to the 100 crore club. Her latest release Dabangg 2 is also expected to be a box-office success.
Kareena Kapoor : She has appeared in four films this year, as a vibrant hairdresser in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, as a Pakistani doctor in Agent Vinod, an actress in Heroine and as a prostitute in Talaash. While Heroine did not receive excellent reviews from critics, Kareena’s performance is considered as her best work to date.
Parineeti Chopra : Parineeti Chopra stole the show in her 2012 movie, Ishaqzaade. The actress who was very much loved by the audiences in her debut film, in Ladies VS Ricky Bahl, shone again in a complex and intense role in Ishaqzaade.
Deepika Padukone : In 2012, Padukone first appeared in Homi Adajania’s Cocktail opposite Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty. Devesh Sharma of Filmfare said, “Deepika looks ravishing and is one actress who can carry off a bikini. She’s the soul of the film and excels in every scene”.
Huma Qureshi : The actress received applause for her bold performance in Gangs of Wasseypur and later impressed with her role in Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.
