The Style Files: The Best Dressed List - March 2015

Every month we do a roundup of events that played host to some of the most sartorially savvy, polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers. In March these people impressed with their style, their poise, their ability to pull a unique look together and were the most soigne of the soigne for the month.

Gout de France at Cafe Français

Eun young

Simple, stylish and sleek. The styling of the look was so on-point (with the unfussy hair, red lipstick, simple accessories and strappy shoes), that she really comes off as fashionista.

Charlotte

Not only does the rich color pop against her fair skin, but the length and simplicity of cut make for one über flattering look. The round neck draws your attention to her glowing complexion and minimal make up that is so chic.

This look is pure sophistication, the colour, cut, collar, proportion on the sleeve, the updo, it all combines beautifully for an extremely chic look. The black accents on her clutch keep it interesting. The trifecta of sophistication, clean, simple, chic.

HSBC CFW 2015

Nethmi

The colour of this dress in so on trend with design houses like Balmain championing it. The key with Khaki is to remember that it's not all about camouflage rather, think of the feminine twist on the style which is exactly what Nethmi has done, with delicate draping. Kudos!

Ajai

He knows how to dress up and dress down perfectly. He knows what suits him and sticks to it. His mix and match combinations always work for him and his particular brand of cool nonchalant style.

Shyamalee

‘The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward" is especially true when it comes to fashion. Shymalee makes a brilliant brand statement in this fashion-forward dress, that only she could pull off. If it were longer, it wouldn’t have the desired impact; the short hemline is key.

Revlon Sri Lanka

Flamina

She looks both fresh and modern in this age-appropriate, fun and cute outfit. The little white dress is given a youthful touch with colourful accessories and the beads and platforms give a nod to the seventies vibe that is so on trend.

Russel Peters Show

Shermi

Sometimes navy really is best. This simple outfit could have been boring, but the neckline, interesting top knot and dark red lipstick made it an ensemble to remember. She’s proved that causal and chic aren't mutually exclusive.

Dhiren

He really is the King of Cool. He embodies rockstar attitude and  is synonymous with modern and innovative style, this ensemble is no exception. He’s effortlessly cool and slightly eccentric in his sartorial choices which is what fashion is. I especially love his blue shoes!
