An attempt will be made yet again to revolutionize the entertainment space in the island. This Summer 2013, we promise to deliver an astounding, unmatchable event that will take the city of Colombo by surprise. Come witness a festival like no other, three genres of music will be synced to perfection; RnB, Hip Hop with a hint of Reggae.

The team from Carlton Sports is proud to formally announce the launch of the Opening Ceremony of the internationally acclaimed Carlton Super 7’s Rugby tournament, on the 12th of July 2013, in Colombo, featuring two of the world’s most iconic entertainers; multi-­‐ platinum, Grammy and Brit award winning, RnB and Hip Hop artist Taio Cruz  and the multi-­‐platinum, Billboard award winning, RnB and Reggae artist Sean Kingston supported by up and coming Hip Hop artist Big Reeno live in concert!

 

 

This four-­‐hour festival will commence with the much-­‐applauded DJ’s from Red FM spinning tunes from Club Red to create the right ambience for the live performances by Big Reeno, Sean Kingston and the maestro of Hip Hop; Nelly.Taio Cruz . Each artist will perform for over 60 minutes and this concert will be the first of its kind in Sri Lanka; 180 minutes of live performances by three of the worlds most recognizable artists in the genre of Hip Hop, RnB and Reggae. Nelly, Sean Kingston and Big Reeno will be the three trendiest, hippest and most acclaimed Hip Hop and RnB artists to perform in Sri Lanka.

The event will be held on the 12th of July 2013 at CR & FC, Sri Lanka. The event will commence at 19:00 hours and will conclude shortly before midnight. The venue will resemble the world renowned Party in the Park festival held annually in the sprawling gardens of London’s Hyde Park by the Princes Trust. A fifty-­‐foot stage attached to a T-­‐Ramp will be complemented by the best in Sound and Light technology from the islands most acclaimed engineers and technicians. It will be a technological marvel.

 

 

The sprawling front lawns of the prestigious CR & FC Grounds will be recreated to resemble a concert village, complete with game stalls, food and beverage stalls and miniature dance floors strategically placed in every zone separated by secure barricades and a team of most advance security personnel in the country. The zones will be cordoned off as follows:

THE PLATINUM PLAYGROUND LOUNGE: Rs. 10,000/-­‐ per ticket and will include a private elevated lounge and personal concierge services, managed by the team at Cantaloupe Events; applauded for their success with ventures like Amuseum Nightclub, Cantaloupe Aqua Boutique Resort, the series of Playground Parties in Unawatuna, The Cantaloupe Aqua Department Store and the highly sought-­‐after renowned New Years Eve parties at Galle Face Terrace, 23 Palms Thalpe and the Hilton Colombo, this lounge will be the premium entertainment zone at the venue.

THE GOLDEN CIRCLE: Rs. 5000/-­‐ per ticket and this zone will undoubtedly be the best viewing space at the event. The entire section will be the space around the T-­‐Ramp and guests will have an opportunity to directly interact with the performers whilst they’re on stage.

THE SILVER MESS: Rs. 3500/-­‐ per ticket and this will be a hardcore party zone where guests will be given space to dance the night away underneath a starry sky. Miniature dance floors, plastic rugby balls, game stalls, etc. will all add to the ambience of this zone.

THE BRONZE BELT: Rs. 1500/-­‐ per ticket, this ‘belt’ of the venue will be considered an area where anything goes. Go wild, go crazy, jump up and down till the sun comes out; its an endless belt of entertainment. Anything is a possibility in this zone – ‘belt’.

CARLTON SUPER 7’s 10 THE FIELD: Rs. 500/-­‐ per ticket and will only be allowed to be purchased by school students aged 14 to 19 years. Tickets can only be purchased via the mobile promotional van that will be parked at certain locations in the city of Colombo thru out the month of June. This zone will be a safe and secure haven for young school goers to come enjoy the music and mingle with guests their own age. All food and beverage stalls and game stalls in this ‘field’ will be made available at student-­‐ discounted rates and ample security will ensure the safety of all teenagers in this playing field. Only parents and teachers will be allowed to accompany any minors entering this field and no adults without children will be allowed to enter  An attempt will be made yet again to revolutionize the entertainment space in the island.
