SRI LANKAN TAMIL RAPPER TO PERFORM WITH ACADEMIC & GRAMMY-WINNING COMPOSER A.R.RAHMAN FOR THE SECOND TIME.
The youngster who started his career with the single “Nam Oru - Cross Culture” in 2005, Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam also known as ADK, is the first Sri Lankan Tamil Rapper (Artiste) who collaborated with the Academic & Grammy Award winning composer A.R.Rahman in 2012. ADK was featured in the song “Magudi” for the film “Kadal” directed by one of India’s greatest filmmaker Mani Ratnam. ADK had the privilege to write the song and contribute his vocal to the song along with the Grammy Award-winning singer Tanvi Shah & Chinmai.
A.R.Rahman’s “Thai Manne Vanakkam”, was the first concert where ADK was featured in 2012 by performing the song “Magudi along with Chinmai. ADK ended up working with two more projects for A.R.Rahman and his second collaboration on the song “kaara aattakkaara” have over 4 Million views in Youtube. ADK also had the privilege to contribute his vocals for the song “oh Nanba” along with S.P Balasubramaniam from the film “Linga” staring one of India’s biggest names “Superstar” Rajnikanth.
Almost 3 years later, A.R.Rahman ropes in the Sri Lankan Tamil Rapper for the second time to perform on his shows to be held in three different cities in India. “Nenje Ezhu” the show, is an effort to cheer up the people of Chennai and other districts still recovering from the impact of the December floods. A great number of playback singers have heeded A.R.Rahman’s call including ADK, and will be performing along with him in Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai in January. In Chennai (January 16), Coimbatore (January 23) and Madurai (January 31).
ADK will be performing his hit singles A.R.Rahman and yes, this is a very proud moment to al Independent artiste from Sri Lanka. Award winning rapper Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam (ADK) who started his career in the simplest form, is now making big marks in the Industry.
