The Annual Peterite Vehicle Parade – “RIIISE UP 2013”

 

 

The month of March is the time when all Peterites – big and small rally together to be a part of one of the country’s biggest traditional cricket matches and cheer their College on in the best ways possible as the 1st XI Cricket team of St. Peter’s College take on their traditional rivals St. Josephs College in both the Big Match and the 50 over game as well.

 

In celebration of this, the batch groups of 2007- 2010 will once again look forward to parade the streets of Colombo, waving the colours of their Alma Mater – BLUE WHITE AND GOLD. 

 

 

 

The Peterite Vehicle Parade “RIIISE UP 2013” will be organised for the 5th consecutive year on 9 March 2013. 

 

For the past four years the Parade has grown from strength to strength and this year the boys look forward to making it bigger and better. 

 

 

 

The Parade this year will begin on the Marine drive (adjoining Marry Brown in Wellawatte) and will journey the streets of Colombo all the way to the R. Premadasa International Cricket Grounds where the 50 over limited encounter of the two schools will be held. 

 

The word has been spread to all and a participation of about 1500 Peterites is expected. 

 

 

 

This time’s Parade is guaranteed to be huge as almost 350 vehicles would drive at one pace as the BLUE WHITE and GOLD Army.
