Hollywood celebrity and American TV and film star Pamela Anderson has asked the highest official of the Phililppines, Pres. PNoy for a date, to discuss the immediate transfer of Mali, the ailing elephant in Manila Zoo, originally from Sri Lanka, to a sanctuary in Thailand.
The elephant, Mali is now on her 39th year of existence, she was origanally named as Vishwamali and was born in Sri Lanka in 1974. The elephant was brought to the Philippines in Manila Zoo when she was just three years old.
The actress, Anderson wrote a letter to the President of the Philippines, thanking his “strong, serious stance on her behalf by issuing a directive to consider moving her to sanctuary,” referring to the elephant Mali.
The ex “Baywatch” babe is a big supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
