Just the way you like it at Kaffeine

Many of us have been to coffee shops and have been impressed by what they have to offer, but you truly have not experienced coffee at a shop if you have not been to Kaffeine situated at 168, Maya Avenue, Colombo 5.

Strategically located near the bend opposite Royal Institute Girls school, patrons of the venue can enjoy their time spent at Kaffeine while the busy world whizzes by them.

Moving on to the menu, the drinks menu is one long list of things and will have your test buds yearning to try out all of them. Just to name a few, there is Affogato, Coffee Caramel Frappe, Dark Chocomint Frappe, Cinnamon Cappucino, Wishing stars, Tarzan juicy cooler and many more (yes I know you want to try them all out!)

But the signature drink offered is the Shirley Temple, a grenadine based drink will have you in another world because it is so good.

Dushi Daniel, the propertier of Kaffeine explaining the items on the food menu says, “The Tandoori Chicken Sandwich and Lasagna are the most popular dishes.”

However, I decided to go for something else and was surprised by a well done steak, one bite into it and I questioned myself as to how come this was not the most popular dish.

Little did I know that the best was yet to come, you have chocolate biscuit pudding and then you have the Kaffeine Chef Dudley Chriysoston’s special chocolate biscuit pudding which is mind blowing and has the ability to make chocolate addicts tripping on good vibes.

Tharanga Sujeewa, the Barista, says he tries his utmost to make sure that customers have a good time and always end up coming back resulting in them becoming strong brand advocates!

5 year old Genela says, “I love my food and drinks here; they even made a special dish for me, the Mac and Cheese doesn’t come with sausages but I love sausages so they made a special order just for me.”

What is unique about Kaffeine is that it’s based on a jazz theme and music lovers also have the ability to strum a few songs with friends on a guitar that has been provided at the venue.

Suzanna who has travelled the world and has experience many varieties of food says, “They are very accommodating here, the food is fantastic. The Shirley temple is out of this world and the chocolate biscuit pudding is to die for!”

With the intention of expanding and become your neighborhood’s favourite coffee stop Kaffeine is a place with no international affiliations yet aspires to be an identity in its own right.
Head on down there and experience coffee like you have never experienced it before!
