Jagath Chamila wins Best Actor

Jagath Chamila has won the Best Actor award a short while ago at the New York City International Film Festival for his role in Priyankara Vithanachchi’s 'Sameege Kathawa' Sam’s Story. 
 
The film “Sam’s Story” is based on the critically acclaimed book of the same name written by Capt. Elmo Jayawardena that won the Gratiaen Prizein 2001.
 
Jagath is known for his ability to adapt to roles he performs, making him one of the most outstanding actors Sri Lanka has produced, in all three formats of acting; Stage drama, tele drama and cinema.

    Who is this??? Are these “real” actors?? These small film festivals are held specifically to hand out “fake” awards to 3rd world countries, since they can never win Oscars.
