Festive Catering by Colombo Fort Café
 

With the year coming to an end, December is all about the festivities kicking in with numerous holiday parties and this means festive food, all the better for indulging!


But when it comes to private gatherings at home, it means a lot of work. From cutting and chopping vegetables and meat, to prepping, marinating and finally baking or cooking, we are all aware that plenty of time goes into ensuring that you have a delicious spread laid out for guests to tuck into. Taking away the hassle and stress of preparing food for a private seasonal gathering, Colombo Fort Café has come up with a novel concept of festive catering consisting exclusively of tapas and wines – a perfect pairing!

Alec van Cuylenberg who heads the operations at the restaurant has designed three options for the festive catering, the first of which involves the customer picking up the prepared tapas and wines from Colombo Fort Café itself, the second option which includes the food being delivered to your home, along with a complete waiter service, and the third and best option involves a CFC team coming to the customer’s home, and preparing the food fresh, and a waiter service as well.

 


The range of tapas differs, and the CFC team can prepare dishes according to the preference of customers, using any specific ingredients they require. CFC signature tapas include cream cheese crostinis with black olives, tandoori chicken and/or prawns with mustard mayonnaise, saffron-marinated chicken and/or prawns, varied salsas and chips and homemade meatballs, which are just a few items to be named from the CFC tapas menu. Festive desserts can also be included.

Colombo Fort Café requires a minimum of 48 hours notice in advance for either of the catering options.


Festive dining options will also be available at the CFC from December 15 – 24.
