Nestled in a quiet corner of Bambalapitiya lies a new café/restaurant by the name of Eden Café. The café specializes in a range of cuisines such as Indian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Sri Lankan and Western.

Burgers and sandwiches remain hugely popular for children, while the café places focus on other dishes such as salads, submarine sandwiches, spicy noodles, rice dishes and a variety of coffees and beverages, both fresh juices and combinations alike. They have been open for only a month and a half at present but they promise to start outdoor catering and delivery soon.  

 

Eden Café is particularly excited for the month of February, the Food Factor learned. They are planning an exciting event for Valentines Day, where guests can participate in a host of activities in addition to a delicious four-course menu for dinner.

 

 

Come February 14, the café will have a different atmosphere and each lady will receive a heart shaped cookie upon arrival at the café. The café is taking orders for Valentines Day themed desserts such as cake, cupcakes, cookies and handmade chocolate.

 

 

The café can be rented out for various occasions such as birthdays, parties, engagements and even for corporate meetings. Eden Café is open everyday from 10AM to 10.30PM, including public holidays. The food is very good and I must admit it is reasonably priced. What I like about this place is that there are separate areas for dining and coffee. I would definitely keep coming back to this place. I do hope that they maintain their standards and service though.”
