Bubbly and outgoing, Shenilka works in the advertising industry utilizing her creative talents and friendly disposition. Having completed her higher education in Malaysia Shenilka returned to Sri Lanka where she interned briefly in the publishing industry before entering advertising.

Why do you love travel?

Because it unravels new adventures.

Your favourite travel destination and why?

My favourite travel destination is Greece. It's got everything I like: sun, sand and history.

What do you need for a perfect holiday?

My perfect holiday would be my perfect destination which I would select after researching it. The rest is up to me to make the most of it.

In which country have you felt most at home?

I'll have to say Malaysia.

Most unusual souvenir you have brought home?

A little over two dozen seashells with island sand.

Worst holiday or travel experience?

I haven't really had a bad holiday. Every one of it in it's own unique way was a treasure.

Best piece of travel advice?

Get out of your comfort zone, talk to different people, do something you never thought you would do and basically take a big leap into adventure and make the most of it.

Your top five travel destinations?

Greece, Croatia, Tanzania, Rome and Spain.

What has travel taught you?

That there is so much more to the world than anyone can ever give credit for. Each country in itself is paradise and a wonder.

Which country did you taste the best ever cuisine?

Morocco.

Croatia, fingers crossed.
