The Vesak week is getting closer and you may be busy buying lanterns and trying to add more colour to your houses. Vesak, like Avurudu is that time of the year where you get to go to dansals and Vesak zones in and around Colombo. The Vesak Lantern @ The Sooriya Village 

Join Sulochana Dissanayake to watch timeless stories spring to life with puppets, dialogue, music and movement featuring a giant vesak lantern depicting the stunning illustrations of the story. 

The performance will be followed by a lantern making workshop where participants can take home unique handmade lanterns. 

Tickets available at the gate on Performance Day.

Back to School 2017 @ Devi Balika Vidyalaya

Garbage free awareness campaign @ Sri Padaya 

Join Gudppl this weekend and give them a hand to take their first step in cleaning the sacred Sri Padaya. The objective is to work with the authorities to clean the garbage on the Hatton trail while encouraging other pilgrims to bring their own garbage to bottom. They are planning to have raffle draws to reward the pilgrims who bring garbage to their collection point at the bottom.
