Who doesn’t love a good 90’s party? And who can do it better than the last batch of the 90’s?

The ‘Combined Schools 99ers’ is a group of alumni students with over 2000 members from the Batches of ’99 from 9 of Colombo’s leading schools; S. Thomas' College, Royal College, St. Joseph's College, S. Peter's College, Bishop's College, Ladies College, Holy Family Convent, Musaeus College and Visakha Vidyalaya.

Having been the last batch to grow up and be schooled in the millennium,  the Combined Schools 99ers are proud to announce “Party 99”, a 90’s flashback themed party celebrating the memories of yesteryear.

Keeping with the theme, the event will include a photo booth,  state of the art sounds, lighting, LED screen, backdrops and performances by Dushyanth Weeraman from the 99 batch of Royal College, Umara and Umaria backed by ‘Kurumba' and DJ Naudhad from the famed 90s night club, Blue Elephant.

Talking to us regarding the event, Yoshana Johnpillai of the Combined Schools 99ers says “This event is about bringing back the memories from your beloved school days from the 90s, meeting up with old friends from your school as well as friends from the other schools who we competed against and made lifelong friendships with. We want to create a night where we can relive the glory days of 90s music. We also want to give back to the community of this country by embarking on a water purification project in Welikanda from the proceedings of this event”

With such a purpose in mind, the Combined 99ers invites the community to join forces by purchasing tickets for this event and enjoy a fabulous night reliving the best jams of the 90’s.

“On this night we will have special 90’s tracks performed by Dushyanth together with the dynamic duo Umaria and Umara whose breathtaking star quality will have the party goers dancing the night away! And if this isn’t convincing enough we also have Naushad spinning the decks as he plays the tunes of the 90’s doing what he is famous for!”

The event will be held September 9, at the Pavilion Club House in Havelock City from 9PM to 2AM. Tickets priced at Rs. 2500 are open for purchase through any member of the Combined Schools 99ers.
