Introducing ‘The Ceylon Bride’

If you are a little obsessed with all things floral, all things pastel coloured and all things simple, small and elegant, The Ceylon Bride is an event planner that’s worth looking into.
And if you already havea planner, that’s okay too, because they offer hiring items that are a must have! From Tiffany chairs and gorgeous floral print linen to the most stunning tea sets and floral arrangements The Ceylon Bride has a very ‘tumblr’ vibe to it and we love it!
We spoke to Avner Deane of The Ceylon Bride.

1.    What’s ‘The Ceylon Bride’?
The Ceylon Bride basically started off as an event hire company, mainly for small scale events like bridal showers and tea parties. Weddings have always been my passion, since I was 13, I knew exactly what and how I wanted my wedding done. 3 weeks before my Ordinary Level exams, I sat down with one of my best friends and elaborately planned out my wedding and nothing much changed since then. So starting the Ceylon bride and getting into the wedding industry was more of an obvious choice for me, even though it took me a few years to figure it out.

2.    What exactly does The Ceylon Bride offer its clients?
We deal with every aspect of your typical wedding. Rentals like Tiffany chairs, marquees, lighting solutions, wedding décor, invitations, Favour boxes and event styling for small scale events along with coordinating your wedding day.
Clients can also hire décor from us like Tiffany chairs, marquees, lighting, stages, tables and table linen. For small scale events we have, tea sets, high tea trays, floral print linen, plastic floral arrangement and vases.

3.    What’s The Ceylon Bride’s signature style when it comes to event planning?
Our signature style would definitely be Victorian floral prints, watercolour illustrations, and pastel colours; basically simple, elegant yet trendy things.

4.    Any particular reason The Ceylon Bride leans more towards outdoor weddings than indoor?
I personally love an outdoor wedding, not just the beauty of it, but the feeling of fairies secretly dancing by the flowers when no one is looking.

5.    Exactly how does The Ceylon Bride style an event?
Well, event styling is basically the creative part in event planning. You take your client’s vision and make it a reality, by executing it through the décor. We pay attention to the fine details of their vision. Things like the centrepieces, table linen colours and material all play an important part in the ultimate composition of a wedding. Additionally, we also undertake arranging wedding favours, wedding invitations, escort cards, table plan, dessert table, backdrops, photo-booth props and so much more.
